HIV in Rural Populations

Demographic Research of At-Risk Populations

Faith-Based Community Efforts

Start-up grants are offered to coalitions established by faith congregations to help communities organize for volunteer caregiving.

AIDS Medical Research

Caregivers and Patient Advocacy
Agency: Arthur Vining Davis Foundation• Deadline: No specific deadline • Funding: Maximum amount: $200,000 • Contact: Jonathan Howe, 904-359-0670 • Web: jvm.com/davis • In the health care area, the foundation awards grants to efforts designed to facilitate communications with patients by doctors, nurses, and other caregivers. Ideas for facilitating doctor–patient communication and promotion of patient advocacy are encouraged.

Direct Service Programs for Children

HIV, STDs, and Mental Disorders

Women, Children, and Families with AIDS

It has supported groups, including HIV and AIDS organizations, working on women’s political participation and leadership, poverty and economic autonomy, reproductive freedom, women’s and children’s health, the rights of sexual minorities, education, and the prevention of violence against women.

HIV Education and Training
