Critical Path AIDS Project
This comprehensive Web site provides links to full-text clinical trial protocols, conventional and alternative treatment databases from around the world, searchable libraries of treatment newsletters and databases, Asian language resources, databases of high-resolution color photographs, and other research and treatment information.

HIV/AIDS Surveillance Database
Produced by the Bureau of the Census's Center for International Research, this site provides raw surveillance data on the epidemic, such as statistical information categorized by state or HIV-related illness.

HIVNET/GENA (Global Electronic Network for AIDS)
This site offers access to numerous resources, including AEGIS, the AIDS Education and Global Information System. Widely used by AIDS activists and people with HIV, AEGIS contains newsletters, hundreds of downloadable files, and a comprehensive library of AIDS prevention, treatment, and legal information.

HSTAT (Health Services/Technology Assessment Test)
This National Library of Medicine (NLM) site provides access to many biomedical resources, including clinical practice guidelines from the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research (AHCPR).

MEDLARS (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System)
The NLM offers the following AIDS-related databases: AIDSDRUGS--information on all AIDS clinical trials; AIDSLINE--more than 100,000 AIDS literature references, updated weekly; AIDSTRIALS--information on HIV-related drug and vaccine trials; and DIRLINE--an annotated directory listing 17,000 biomedical organizations, with approximately 2,500 specific to AIDS. To access these databases, users must first obtain a password, available free of charge by contacting the MEDLARS Help Desk at 800-638-8480.

National AIDS Clearinghouse
This Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) site contains copies of the HIV/AIDS Surveillance Report, the Standard Search Series, AHCPR's clinical practice guidelines, and pathfinder guides to AIDS information.
